Ina King is a young 12 year old Native Model.  Basically she has modeled since she was able to walk with her mom Junal Gerlach coaching her as they both modeled for Ina's Dad Bruce Wayne King aka Poorthunder.  At the age of 9 she was along for a shoot with her mom and her mom asked the man whos name was Christene Heeb from Norway that Ina is a model and could he pay her as well.  He said the little girl 25.00 but when he picked them up and Ina began modeling he was touched by her sweet innocense and how she modeled elegantly with her flow of hands gestures and head coordination.  She was doing every step effortlessly being calm serious and delicate.  Well Ina basically took over on the photo shoot her mom was paid alot for almost a few shots.  Ina would later discover thta she made $80.00 becouse she was the whole photo shoot! 

 

Incredibly Ina King has taught herself to native american dance, fancy, traditional and jingle dance.  She never had a friend to show her the steps she was touched by the music and the words from a simple evangelist Nathon from Pine Ridge SD who said in spirit that she was going to be a dancer that God would use her as a dancer!   Lil Ina saw her first Powwow and had her homemade dress on that her mother made for and all it took was her mom saying," Go ahead Ina its time for woman dancers...go out there!"  She just started skipping and ran skipped up to the dancers and looked down at there feet and like a bird flying she manuevered her steps to mathch the dancers in which she was soon off dancing like them mimicking them as she found new foot dances and she kept going until the late evening.  She was welcomed by a tall woman with many lil dancers and this woman had a very expensive dress with long fringes and a crown.  Ina was waved over to her by this woman and she stated how pretty her dress was and the little girls said they liked her dress too.  Soon she was taken in and was accepted in the special group of talented young ladies her age.  For her mom to see such acceptance and Ina was so able to just let herself go naturally as if she was always a dancer was only a dream for her mother Junal Gerlach whom always wanted to dance that way but never had the courage as her daughter had that day!  Now Junal's dreams flow effortlessly through her daughter with every step of enchantment and high spirited worth that still is present today! 

 

Ina King is a natual model and dancer I can only imagine what the future holds for her.  She is detremined to excell and find peace in her culture and be a elequent role model for all those around her!  Amen Ina keep the good work up!  Pilahmiyah...lil Angel!
